Still Life Moving Fragments

Some shadow-plays around the house. These were documented as part of the development process of the Still life | Moving fragments piece.

Studio in July late afternoons:




Light reflected by window of a car parked opposite on the street shone through the camellia trees outside the kitchen and projected shadows through the glass on the door onto the living room east-side wall. My camera had to be directly in-between the light source and the projected image to capture it. The shadow the camera (and my hand) cast became part of the image. Notice the little hand reaching up at the bottom of the last image.

Moving shadows of the Christmas bush caught on white sheets hung up to dry on a sunny December day.
