Autumnal equinox: Thunder pipes down (4 of 5)

March 25th, 2009

It has been a humid week for the start of Autumnal equinox. The mean relative humidity March is 70% at 9am and 66% at 3pm. Feburary is historically the most humid month in the Wollongong, but in the region’s mean doesn’t fall much below 55%. Today 86% relative humidity only relented ever so slightly this afternoon. I looked up and saw that the clouds had formed swirling patterns. Later in the evening, I could hear distant thunder of a storm out at sea. Interestingly, the weather bureau recorded 0mm rainfall for the day.
