Shuubun: Thunder pipes down/ persimmons ripen (1 of 5)

In Meguro is the Shizen Kyoiku-en (National Institute for Nature Study). Unlike the standard koen in Tokyo, this nature reserve is bushy, swampy, and refreshingly wild. Sighted in the park are turtles, spiders, butterflies, and some serious-looking photographers.

    what a great phrase. i presume that’s a direct translation, i love it’s formality. “pipe down” is something my dad used to say to us kids when we were being too noisy…
